In Price's book "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration" he writes:

"The coastal indians in Peru ate the so-called angelote egg, an organ of the male fish of an ovoviviparous species. These organs were used by the father-to-be."

The angelote egg is likely to be the testes of the angel fish.

He also writes:

"Among the eskimos I found...the milt (sperm) of the male salmon [was eaten] by the fathers for the purpose of reinforcing reproductive efficiacy."
