Date and Cranberry and Cacao Bliss Balls

These Date and Cranberry and Cacao Bliss Balls are packed with flavour, nutrients and are perfect for after school, school holiday treats or a snack on the go.

The GPA Wholefoods date, cranberry and cacao bliss balls are super easy to make and can easily be adjusted for fussy eaters or depending on what you have on hand. This is also a recipe the kids can get involved in making - a great chance for them to learn about bringing tasty, whole foods into their everyday diet.

Thankfully Nourished New Zealand Gelatin

Date & Cranberry & Cacao Bliss Balls

Makes 18 Prep:15 minutes

10 (150g) fresh dates, pitted
2 tsp Thankfully Nourished New Zealand gelatin
1 cup (150g) raw almonds
¼ cup (30g) sunflower seeds
¼ cup (30g) cacao nibs
2 tbs cocoa powder
½ apple, grated
chia seeds, desiccated coconut & chopped goji berries for rolling

Method:

Place the dates, gelatin, almonds, sunflower seeds, cacao nibs, cocoa powder and apple into a food processor or blender and process for 2 minutes or until mixture starts to cling together.

Roll tablespoons of the mixture into balls and roll in chia seeds, shredded coconut and chopped goji berries.

Note: You can store your bliss balls in the fridge for 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
